I like multi-computer setup. I've got a dual boot (Linux, WinXP) desktop for internet (linux), ripping videos and various minor tasks, and games (XP). The MacBook does photo editing. Lots of times, I'm using both computers at the same time.

How fast is the drive? That may be one of the problems, especially if you're connecting it via usb because USB data is sent in beeps, like this --------- if that makes sense, whereas USB 3.0 and firewire flow constantly.

Lol he looks like an old hippy teaching creative writing or something at a csu. He is so dangerous he has to be kept in solidary and the entire cuban inmate population had to jump him and tackle him to subdue him in the 80s prison riots -- because the federal govt wouldnt deal with the cubans if he was still lose. They even had to escort him recently in a Hanibal lector suit at some recent gag trials.

From http://www.redorbit.com/news/general/183822/heavy_security_set_for_aryan_brotherhood_trial/:
"Carter said defense lawyers could call Tommy Silverstein as a witness but warned the notorious Aryan Brotherhood leader known as "Terrible Tom" would be shackled in court "just like a 'Silence of the Lambs' character."
Silverstein killed a guard in 1983 at Marion federal prison in Illinois after slipping his handcuffs with the help of another gang member and pulling a concealed foot-long knife.
Silverstein, who has also been convicted of killing three other inmates, is the nation's most heavily guarded prisoner, according to prosecutors. He is confined to a special cellblock in the basement of Leavenworth Penitentiary in Kansas.
"He will come out here in chains and sit there in chains," Carter said in a pretrial hearing on Friday."

What will happen is you'd have to go thru alot of BS and probably spend plenty of money to replace it. If you have a bad feeling and unsure about bringing it somewhere either dont bring it or use a different cell that you dont care about losing.
Not sure what the deal is with your carrier or if you have insurance or not that would cover theft and if it has a deductable etc...
You should call them to get details though.

Does this happen with every program u runor just the one in the picture. And make sure the resolution is right, it shuld be at whatever your monitor is, also try setting it to the same as your computer to see if it still happens. Also maby try a diferent monitor. But if worst comes to worse try running disc utility on your hard drive, if that doesn't work do a reinstall of the OS using the disc the computer came with. Also back up your stuff just in case.

I should think the faster CPU will have a much greater effect on performance than the GPU. GPU speed is really only relevant for games and video rendering.
Beyond this, no version of LR even uses hardware GPU acceleration, as far as I know.

I have a 2007 Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz with a 40GB SSD that I boot snow leopard and apps from and a 160GB HDD that is in an optibay and stores my data/ holds my home folder (i.e., my superdrive is in an external enclosure).
If I want to install Lion, what is the best way for me to do this without losing my snow leopard setup? I have some 25GB left on the SSD last time I checked. Should I partition it? If I have a Mac Mini with snow leopard and all my stuff should I just install Lion clean over snow leopard on my MBP or is Lion too buggy?
Thanks.

The stock analysts have target prices on Apple as high as $550.
I have absolutely no doubt that will happen, so I am holding my large position in Apple.
A broker can give you suggestions how to buy without a SS#.

What improvements do you think it needs? Better zoom/flash? I guess it is a phone first and a camera second so it will never really be able to out-do a standard digital camera

This happens to me too, it doesn't freeze or crash, but the video and audio won't play because they're designed for WMP 10.

I didn't install Flash on my 2011 MBP, probably never will - I use YouTube5 Safari extension to watch their videos. Is there a way to download youtube videos with this setup? Would love to have them as H.264.

I heard people on MR talking about it and thought it was a good cause. Hopefully it'll help them cure some disease or help with some important research at some point. I started a couple days ago and its really pretty easy and doesn't interrupt normal usage, so, why not?

That my 2008 iMac is one of the affected ones of the infamous 8800 GS card failures.
After gaming today, the computer completely locked up. Tried several reboots, but the computer just freezes and the screen flickers a little. The odd thing is though, that the mouse pointer still works.
I'm almost certain this is a gfx card issue because these model iMac's have been known to fail. The HDD was just replaced this year, so it can't be that.
The GPU temperature is around 150F...
Anyway, what do you think Apple will tell me? I bought this computer on December 25, 2009 so I still have one year and a half left on Applecare.
